CNC Rotary Engraving
Rotary engraving is controlled by computer software and on board control panel. This controls a motorized spindle, allowing the cutting tool to remove the surface material.
A rotating tool/cutter moves from X to Y to remove the surface material to a set depth and follows a pre-set cutting path from the advanced computer software.
The speed rate of the tool is the cutting speed and the lateral movement is the feed rate. Each has a profound effect on the quality of the finish.
Rotary engraving can be carried out on a wide range of materials including acrylic, engraving laminates (phenolic core), soft metals (aluminium and brass) and also hard metals (stainless steel).
